The Empowering of the Holy Spirit


 If you are to ever walk in victory in the Spirit, then it is imperative that you have a solid Biblical understanding of the spiritual power you are infused with when you are born again.  Study these Biblical principles and unleash the power of the Spirit in your life!

The Empowering of the Spirit 

Scripture texts: 

Acts 1:8  “but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…”

Luke 9:1  “And He called the twelve together, and gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to heal diseases.”

Luke 10:19  “Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall injure you.”

II Cor. 12:9  “And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’”

Eph. 3:20  “Not to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.”

 

Spiritual Truths:

 

**  Greek word for power is “dunamis” and is also translated into the  English word “dynamite.”

**  We are given all the power we will ever need at the moment of salvation.

**  Issue it not whether we have it, but whether we have unleashed it in our lives.

**  Power to overcome and defeat Satan.

**  Power to live the Christian life in victory.

**  Always remember that it is His power and not our strength.  Must rightly relate to the Lord living within us.

**  It is a power that is limitless
