Utilizing Your Hedge of Thorns and Hedge of Protection



 
As you embark on your adventure into the joy and power of the Spirit, it is vitally important that you learn to use your two spiritual weapons:  the hedge of protection and the hedge of thorns.  Utizilizing both of these will give you a spiritual victory that you may have never known before...

Years ago, a young man came to see me and was totally distraught after discovering that his wife had been unfaithful to him and was living a life immersed in sin as she was frequenting bars and picking up men on a regular basis.   The couple was both 33 years old and had 3 young children so I knew the situation was critical for this young man.   

I told him about the "hedge of thorns" found in the book of Hosea, and explained to him that he and I could agree together to pray a hedge of thorns around his wife.   We both began to pray and trust  God to be faithful to His Word...

When the hedge of thorns has been prayed and placed around someone, it will protect them from the evil one and his minions, so we were trusting the Lord to place the hedge around his unfaithful wife...

The couple was scheduled to have their divorce finalized on September 29th of that year.  The week before, the husband came to see me and said he was worried that the hedge of thorns wasn't working and he would soon be divorced.  We prayed and simply trusted the Lord to unleash His power on this situation.  

On September 28th the husband opened the door to see his wife standing there and asking, "I have sinned against you, but I still love you.   Can you forgive me and take me back?"   Of course, the husband was elated and gladly took his wife back into his life.   To this day, they are still faithful and true to each other and to the Lord...

The husband asked his wife why she had returned after all of his efforts to reconcile had failed and she simply said, "For some reason, I would go to the bars and men wouldn't even come near me.  For a long time I was their favorite pick-up in the bar but suddenly I had no suitors and men avoided me completely."   The husband called me with joy in his voice and said, "Preacher, the hedge really works!  Noone would even come near her and the Lord honored His Word and promise!"
